In the seventh episode of the season on “Dollhouse,” called, “Echoes,” a deadly, mind-altering virus is unleashed on a college campus. A team of Actives are sent in, but this drug causes the imprints in Echo (Dushku) and others to malfunction; they start to remember the things they’ve been wiped of. In the sixth episode of “Dollhouse,” called “Man On the Street,” Echo becomes the perfect wife for a lonely Internet mogul. Meanwhile, Mellie’s life is in danger and Agent Paul Ballard’s investigation takes a surprising turn when he comes face-to-face and goes fist-to-fist with Echo for the very first time. And back at the Dollhouse, Victor’s fascination with Sierra leads to — what he calls — “something very bad.”

In the fifth episode, True Believer, Echo is imprinted with cameras in her eyes that allow the client to see what’s going on, but it makes Echo visually impaired. As this blind woman, Echo must infiltrate a heavily guarded cult in order to rescue a woman held against her will.

In the fourth episode, Gray Hour, Echo’s stint as a midwife doesn’t prove as laborious as when she becomes an expert safe-cracker. And more than an invaluable piece of art is stolen from her on the engagement, forcing Sierra to take on a familiar persona. Agent Paul Ballard gives Lubov an ultimatum, and Adelle DeWitt confides shocking information to Topher.

“Dollhouse” fans, the mystery is solved. We can now definitively tell you that Alan Tudyk is the mysterious rogue doll Alpha (or Alfa based on the correct NATO spelling) in Joss Whedon’s latest gem of a TV show. We first brought you this story Feb. 15 when we continued our series exploring who the mysterious actor playing Alpha might be. We brought you two names — Alan Tudyk and Michael Muhney. It turns out we didn’t have to explore much more than that because the second post nailed it.

In the third episode of “Dollhouse,” Echo (Eliza Dushku) goes undercover as a backup singer to protect volatile pop star Rayna from an obsessed fan. Fellow Active, Sierra (Dichen Lachman), also goes undercover as a fan who wins a contest and gets to spend an evening with Rayna. Meanwhile, Agent Paul Ballard (Tahmoh Penikett) is led down a dangerously wrong path in his investigation, and Lubov (Enver Gjokaj) harbors a secret.

OK Dollhouse fans, not all are you are convinced that Alpha is really Michael Muhney.  Neither are we to be honest, but isn’t it a great way to get the conversation started.  Let’s move on to potential Alpha #2 — Alan Tudyk.

It’s the big mystery every Joss Whedon fan wants to know… Who plays Alpha in Dollhouse? We know who plays most of the other characters as you can see on our Dollhouse cast page, but no one seems to know which actor plays the part of renegade Alpha, the former Active who either went a little crazy or just violently broke away from the leadership ranks of the Dollhouse. Or based on the Episode 2 trailer, it could be a little bit of both.
