FACT: Dollhouse’s Eliza Dushku is a badass

Eliza Dushku stopped by Live with Regis and Kelly last Thursday, the day before the Dollhouse series premiere to pump up support for the show. Let me just take this time to say that Eliza is a baller. The girl’s an ex-smoker, took on the 2008 Nautica Malibu Triathlon with no training and finished third among celebrity entrants.
I knew she took part in the marathon, but I didn’t know all the other stuff I learned in the video. In the words of Samuel Leroy Jackson, Eliza Dushku is one bad motherfucker. (Funny sidenote, Samuel L. actually has a wallet with “Bad MF” written on it. Eliza just needs a purse with that now.) No offense Sarah Michelle Gellar, but Eliza would whip your ass.
Anyway, since we just launched our site at the beginning of February, we’ll use Eliza’s appearance on Live with Regis and Kelly to bring you all the pictures from last year’s triathlon. Enjoy!

Jennifer Lopez wasn’t the only celeb who staggered to the finish line of the Nautica Malibu Triathlon over the weekend. Running, biking, and swimming alongside JLo was Watertown’s own Eliza Dushku, who turned on the afterburners at the end and left Marc Anthony’s significant other in the dust. Dushku, a former smoker who’d never competed in a triathlon, finished third in the women’s celebrity division, behind Malibu, Calif., mayor Pamela Conley Ulich and The Bold and the Beautiful actress Heather Tom. (Lopez finished fifth.)
Dushku completed the half-mile ocean swim, 18-mile bike route, and 4-mile run in 2 hours and 22 minutes.
“My whole family and most of my friends thought I was totally nuts when I signed up last week without any training,” the actress wrote us in an e-mail yesterday. “It was pure adrenaline and making up for long lost time.”

Other celebs taking part in the fundraiser for the Children’s Hospital included William H. Macy, Matthew McConaughey, Tiffani Thiessen, and Anna Kournikova. Cindy Crawford hosted the event, and Eliza told Regis and Kelly that she didn’t even know she finished in third — she was chowing down on food when J-Lo ran in and told her she needed to claim her bronze medal. Just another reason why Eliza rocks.
